SHERMAN DESIGN GROUP, INC., (SDG) provides a complete range of facilities planning and design services, and has done so since 1984.

Planning and organizing the built environment combines several disciplines of professional design services. Facilities planning and design are comprised of planning and managing construction, finish and furnishing documents and administration. We believe in performance based design, a process that augments the efficiency of an organization and its employees.

With more than 40 years of combined experience in design and facilities planning, SDG personnel have a unique ability to accurately assess objective project requirements in a timely manner. Functional and aesthetic goals of a project are blended to create efficient and attractive environments that are completed on time and within budget. Each stage of the project is personally monitored by Rayne Sherman, the principal of the firm.

SDG staff employ state‐of‐the‐art techniques and technology to design standard as well as advanced environments. Key Personnel

Rayne Sherman FIIDA, CID, CSI

Rayne Sherman is a nationally recognized authority in design, space planning and construction for commercial, industrial, financial and healthcare projects. With 40 years of experience, Rayne has provided facilities planning, interior and graphic design services to a wide variety of clients throughout the Western United States. Rayne works with Project Managers and staff to set strategic goals for each project and is responsible for overall project direction and delivery.

Rayne is a classic automobile owner/enthusiast with active leadership in the Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance, additionally Rayne is a lifelong traveler, with first hand exposure to many cultures, experiences and architectural/design styles.

Vicki Phaisouphanh

Education:
  • BFA Interior Design – Cal State Long Beach, Long Beach, CA - Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD)

Vicki Phaisouphanh is motivated and passionate about art and design. With a background of over 5 years of experience in fine art, hospitality, and commercial design projects. She manages tenant improvement projects from preliminary to construction documents and is knowledgeable with accessibility and building code requirements to ensure that they are adequately addressed throughout the phases of construction towards completion.

Katie Lee

Education:
  • B.S. FCS with an option in Interior Design – Cal State Northridge, Northridge, CA. Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA)

Katie Lee received her Bachelor degree from Cal State Northridge in Interior Design, and started her career designing for hospitality and high end residential. This experience combined with a lifelong passion for drawing and design has given Katie a highly perceptive sense of style and color. She is currently working towards obtaining the California Council for Interior Design Certification (CID), which will lend her added expertise in building codes and construction.

Rhonda LaConde

Education:
  • California State University Fullerton
    Bachelor of Science
Rhonda has been a professional administrator in the design/engineering community since 1987 and joined Sherman Design Group in 1993. She has served as the Office Manager for over 25 years and supports the Project Managers and Principal with contract administration duties. Rhonda has over 20 years of accounting experience and takes pride in her work and enjoys working with people who are passionate about what they do.
